Joan Ek holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. With over 25 years experience in several areas of health care, Joan specializes in providing a safe, honest, nurturing (yet challenging!) environment for individuals to explore their innate potential to heal and live the quality life of their choosing. She is happy to be of service to those willing to accept personal responsibility for their life and choices.
Joan has extensive Life Coach training and is a graduate of Coach University. She is working toward certification by the International Coaching Federation. In addition, she has received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification from Midwest Power Yoga.
Incorporating education into guidance of individuals in their choices to allow them to optimize their lifestyle choices on a holistic (mind/body/spirit) basis is the focus of her coaching practice. Providing access to an extensive network of resources and referrals is an added benefit of her services. The ultimate goal is to guide and empower each client in attaining their health, wellness and “quality of life” goals.
REIKI SERVICES
Both a Usui and Karuna ™ Reiki Master teacher, Joan is able to provide classes in training as well as reiki sessions to her clients. Daily life is guided by the Reiki Principles:

YOGA
Joan is a Certified and Registered Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. She teaches people of all abilities, and is especially interested in yoga’s ability to restore individuals on a physical and mental, emotional and spiritual basis. Instructing classes in Restorative, Yin and Yang Styles, her personal practice consists of a balance of the above.
